His debut album ‘I Created Disco,’ saw him shoot straight into the UK top ten. Harris was discovered on MySpace in 2006 and signed contracts with EMI and Sony BMG. ‘Da Bongos’ and ‘Brighter Days’ were released by Prima Facie as a 12” club single. Before taking on the stage-name Calvin Harris, he enjoyed some success in 2002 under the name, ‘Stouffer’. Now known for his dancefloor favorite electro-anthems, Harris started out recording bedroom demos at the age of 15. ![]() Scottish DJ and songwriter Calvin Harris was born Adam Richie Wiles in Dumfries in 1984.
